To the south of this suburb is Woodside Park Garden Suburb proper, an area of 1920s and 1930s houses.

Woodside Park has a fantastic number of well-respected Secular and Faith Schools for children of all ages. Younger children can attend Unity Montessori Nursery, Little Trees, Yavneh Nursery, Southover Pre- School.

Local primary schools include Frith Manor Primary school, which is on Lullington Garth and Woodridge which is based on Southover. Secondary schools include Finchley Catholic.

There are also specialist schools like the Holmewood School on Woodside Park Road which caters for 7-19-year-olds with high-functioning autism, Asperger's Syndrome, and other language, communication and social difficulties.

There are parks, green walks, cafes and horse riding opportunities all to hand. For local shopping, most residents head to North Finchley High Road which is close-by.
